💚 #WorldCPDay 2025 — United & Unique 💚
Growing up in Coffs Harbour, Daniel Campbell didn’t let a diagnosis slow him down. At just 4 years old he was diagnosed with cerebral palsy affecting both legs — tripping often, walking on his toes, learning to adapt.
Fast forward: today he represents Australia on the international stage, wearing the green and gold as a proud member of the CommBank Pararoos.
From his early days kicking a ball around the fields of the Coffs Coast Tigers FC (his junior club) to scoring hat-tricks in world tournaments, Daniel’s story speaks to the power of persistence, community, and self-belief.
Yet behind every goal and every cap is a person navigating life — the challenges of mobility, access, fatigue, balancing sport, work, and everyday life. Daniel talks openly about how CP affects both his legs, making running and jumping more difficult, and how he’s learned not just to adapt in sport but in finances and daily routines.
His perspective as an Australian man with CP—and as someone from regional NSW—brings something unique: a reminder that disability exists in every corner of our country, not just in big cities. That people from places like Coffs Harbour deserve the same opportunities for sport, recognition, access, and support.
On this World CP Day, we stand with Daniel and the many men like him — united in our support, unique in our journeys. Let his story be a beacon.
